		My Name is Douglas Moody and I have been a professional photographer since 1990. Prior to 2001, I considered myself a Nature and Wildlife Photographer. My primary focus was to capture images from places most people would not attempt to go and see. I would visit Wildlife Refuges, Nature Preserves, State Parks, private lands, National Forests and National Parks in America and Canada. In each location, I would drive, hike and backpack into remote locations only few have seen. These trips would be two to three weeks in length and sometimes keep me in the back country for up to ten days. I would do this for myself and also to help show people how glorious our natural world can be and why it is so important to protect it.
Although I still love my photographic base, my focus has slowly changed since 2001 when I met the love of my life. My wife is in the performing arts and she has introduced me to many wonderful and complex opportunities. Since we have been married, I have found myself attending her shows and helping to photo document and promote her works. I now find myself photographing Plays, Musicals, Mime performances, and Dance concerts. I also find myself attending more events such as sports with her niece, political rallies and university gatherings. Each has extended my opportunities to expand my photographic experience and portfolio. Since 1990, I have done a couple of weddings for friends and family but I do not make attempts to market myself in this area. I have over 50,000 images from past trips, over 10,000 images from plays and events, and other various shots that did not make the site. I can be hired for your specific needs at reasonable rates.
